100 Centimeters
  • The concept of architectural painting can be found as early as the Pompeian frescoes. Yannis Karoussos has always felt that his artwork should incorporate painted architectural elements in order to provide a unified composition that combines architectural features and painting. The well-known orthomarblings in Karoussos' frescoes incorporate architectural design with abstract painting to create a majestic marble-like wall. This marbling fresco comes from the painter's fresco at The Monastery of the Great Cave ( Mega Spileo)  in Kalavryta, Greece
