HOUSE RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Privacy & Discretion
The Spyronians Society serves as a sanctuary for its members. The identity of our members and the discussions that take place within the Karoussos Archives are strictly confidential. The Spyronians Society is a space of unique aesthetics and historical heritage, and we encourage our members to capture and share their moments here. You are completely free to take photographs and videos of the venue and your personal guests. We only ask that you respect the privacy of those around you, ensuring that other members do not appear in your frames without their explicit consent.
2. Locker Possession & Use
Your Private Locker is dedicated exclusively to you for the duration of each season. Members are solely responsible for its contents. Storing items within the locker is strictly limited to premium spirits sourced from the Society’s curated list or approved objects of cultural interest. The Karoussos Archives retains direct access to every member's locker at all times; any item deemed unregistered or unapproved by the organisation will be removed immediately.
3. Guests
Members bear full responsibility for the conduct. Guests are required to respect the space, the museum, and the privacy of others. Members must always accompany their guests unless prior "Autonomous Access" permission has been officially granted by the organisation.
4. Primary Accountability & Wallet Management
Each locker is legally linked to one Primary Member, who submits the initial application. The Primary Member retains ultimate responsibility for the management of the digital wallet, the consumption of Credits, and any Top-ups.
5. Joint Liability & Sanctions
In the event of a breach of the Code of Conduct (e.g., a violation of privacy, damage to museum materials, or inappropriate behaviour) by their guests, the sanction will fall upon the membership. The Archives reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership with no refund.
6. Mutual Respect & Demeanor
The Society is built upon the values of avant-garde innovation, intellectual exchange, and mutual respect. Any form of disrespectful, disruptive, or abusive behaviour toward other members, guests, or the staff of the Karoussos Archives will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of membership, without any refund of the financial contribution.
7. Entrance, Exit & Neighborhood Conduct
The Spyronians Society is proudly hosted in the historic and serene village of Verga. Members and their guests are required to maintain a quiet, discreet, and low-profile demeanour during their arrival and departure from the venue. Any form of noise, disturbance, or inappropriate conduct in the surrounding village streets and public spaces is strictly prohibited. The Society operates a zero-tolerance policy for behaviours that disrupt the peace of our neighbours. Repeated complaints or a single incident of severe misconduct outside the venue will be treated as a direct violation of the Code of Conduct that will lead to the immediate expulsion of the member.
8. Personal Health & Liability
The Spyronians Society and the premises of the Karoussos Archives strictly meet all required safety standards. However, members and their guests enter and utilise the facilities entirely at their own risk. The Society bears no liability for any personal injury, medical emergency, or health issue that may arise within the venue, during events, or as a result of alcohol consumption. Each individual is solely responsible for managing their own medical conditions and personal safety.
9. Non-Profit Nature of Financial Contributions
The Spyronians Society operates strictly under the legal framework of the non-profit civil partnership of the Karoussos Archives. Both the initial seasonal subscription (regular contribution) and any subsequent replenishment of the digital wallet/top-up (extra contribution) constitute financial support from the member to further the non-profit, cultural aims and preservation work of the Karoussos Archives. These contributions are allocated exclusively toward fulfilling the statutory purposes of the organisation and do not constitute commercial transactions, retail purchases, or refundable deposits.
10. Strict Non-Refundability & Forfeiture of Rights
From the moment of payment and its subsequent approval, the member's subscription is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. This applies equally in cases of early resignation, voluntary withdrawal, or expulsion due to a breach of the Code of Conduct. In the event of expulsion, access to the physical space and the locker is terminated immediately, and any remaining balance in the digital wallet permanently remains with the Archives as a donation.
12. Absolute Right of Admission
An approved membership and an active digital wallet grant the right to utilise the locker but do not guarantee unconditional entry to the physical space at all times. To preserve safety, capacity limits, and the unique atmosphere of the Karoussos Archives, the organisation retains the absolute right to deny entry to any member or guest if deemed necessary.
